Learning Beyond the Classroom
Our latest addition to our range of accredited courses, the ITC Level 3 in Learning Beyond the Classroom is ideal for those working with children (teaching or other roles) who would like to develop their skills in delivering curriculum linked outdoor learning.
Accessible for those with no experience in outdoor learning, but also suitable for those who already have experience but would like to further develop their skills. It provides an understanding of the many benefits of learning beyond the classroom, how to manage groups, facilitate their learning, and practically deliver sessions.
Developed with input from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) and the Institute for Outdoor learning (IOL), it aims to break down boundaries and empower educators to step outside their normal classroom environments, benefitting themselves and their learners.
Suitable for those with an interest in teaching and learning beyond the classroom, including those involved in early years setting, primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, Outdoor Education centres, Guiding, Scouting, conservation education, NGOs, education charities and field studies.
The course consists of an initial day of training, followed by completion of a portfolio. It includes 10 guided learning hours. Successful completion results in gaining ITC Level 3 Award in learning Beyond the Classroom.
